mandala sun
A symbol of centred light and radiating harmony.

The Piece
This piece was shaped in oak and brought to clarity in the Forge of Elaryn.
The wood carries a warm grain that allows the circular form to settle naturally within the square frame. Each ring was established with measured precision, building the pattern outward from the centre.
The layered geometry creates depth between surface and shadow, allowing the form to reveal itself gradually as light moves across the grain.
The Symbol
Solar mandalas appear in many traditions as symbols of order, balance, and living light. Their circular form reflects the rhythm of cycles found in nature, from the turning of seasons to the rising and setting of the sun.
The repeating pattern draws attention to the centre while allowing energy to radiate outward in steady symmetry.
Within the Forge it represents centred clarity and the quiet expansion of inner light into the world.
Status
In the Forge
This piece began with the centre point, from which the surrounding rings were gradually formed.
Each layer was deepened in stages, allowing the geometry to remain balanced as the pattern expanded outward.
As light moves across the surface the mandala reveals shifting contrast between the rings, giving the impression of gentle movement within stillness.
