Pentacle

A symbol of balance, protection, and the quiet geometry of the five.

Pentacle star

The Piece

This piece was formed in stone and brought to clarity in the Forge of Elaryn.

The circular form frames the five-pointed star at its centre, allowing the lines of the pentacle to settle calmly within the surrounding ring of stones. The engraved surface creates a soft contrast between shadow and form, giving the symbol a grounded presence.

The surrounding stones echo the circular geometry of the pentacle itself, reinforcing the sense of balance held within the piece.

The Symbol

The pentacle is one of the most ancient geometric symbols, formed from the five-pointed star enclosed within a circle.

Across many traditions it has represented harmony between the elements — earth, water, air, fire, and spirit. The five points of the star reflect this balance, suggesting the meeting of the material world with the unseen.

For centuries the pentacle has appeared in sacred geometry, protective symbols, and ritual objects, often understood as a sign of equilibrium and quiet protection.

Within the Forge it represents the balanced centre — the meeting point where form, element, and intention align.

In the Forge

This piece began with the circular frame, establishing the boundary within which the star would be held.

The five lines of the pentagram were then engraved carefully, allowing the proportions of the star to remain clear and balanced within the circle. The surrounding stones were arranged to echo this geometry, creating a gentle rhythm around the centre.

As light moves across the surface the pentacle reveals a subtle interplay between shape and shadow, giving the impression of a form quietly emerging from the material itself.
