Rhythm
A key of living movement

The Stone
This stone carries a vertical line crossed by gentle flowing curves.
The central line holds the form steady while the surrounding waves move across it in balanced motion. The engraving suggests both stillness and movement within the same gesture.
The stone itself remains calm beneath the pattern, allowing the lines to appear gradually as light travels across the surface.
In the hand the stone feels alive yet composed, as though it carries the quiet pulse of something continuing to move.
The line stands.
The movement flows.
The Key
Rhythm is the movement that gives form to presence.
Where presence establishes stability, rhythm introduces the subtle pulse through which life unfolds. Breath, speech, walking, and listening all follow patterns of rise and return.
The symbol reflects this balance between centre and movement. The vertical line anchors awareness while the flowing lines suggest the cycles through which attention naturally moves.
Rhythm does not force motion.
It recognises the pattern that is already present and learns to move with it.

In the Making
The engraving was shaped through a careful sequence of movements.
The vertical line was established first to anchor the composition within the stone. The curved lines were then traced gradually across the surface to create the sense of flowing motion around the central axis.
As light moves across the stone the waves appear to shift gently within the surface.
The stone holds the mark quietly, reflecting the subtle rhythm that continues beneath all movement.
