STONE

the seat of resonance

A mark of listening and alignment

Engraved stone with a forked symbol and central dot representing the Seat of Resonance from the Echo Stones of Aereth collection.

The Stone

This stone carries a form shaped like an open vessel.

A vertical line rises from the base of the stone and opens into two upward curves, forming a gentle cradle beneath a small circle above. The composition feels balanced and receptive, as though the stone itself is holding a quiet centre.

The engraving remains light within the surface, allowing the shape to reveal itself slowly as shadows shift across the stone.

In the hand the stone feels attentive and still, suggesting a place where listening becomes possible.

The form opens.
The presence receives.

The Symbol

Resonance appears when presence and attention meet.

The Seat of Resonance reflects this condition. The open curves resemble a vessel or tuning form, suggesting a place where sound, voice, or experience may settle and become audible.

Across many traditions the idea of a “seat” represents a centre of awareness — a place where perception gathers and meaning begins to emerge.

The symbol does not impose a voice.

It holds the space in which resonance may arise.

In the Making

The engraving was established through a sequence of balanced movements.

The vertical axis was traced first to anchor the form within the stone. The open curves were then shaped carefully to preserve the sense of receptivity within the symbol.

The small circle above was added last, completing the quiet balance of the composition.

As light moves across the surface, the shape appears and recedes gently.

The stone remains calm, holding the mark as a place of listening.
