Flow
A mark of living movement

The Stone
A single line moves across the surface in a gentle curve.
It rises and falls like water finding its path.
There is no beginning or end within the form.
Only the quiet suggestion of movement continuing beyond the stone.
Held in the hand the form feels calm, yet alive.
The line flows.
The stone remains.
The Symbol
The flowing line represents motion that does not force its direction.
Like a river or breath, the path adjusts to the space around it.
Across many traditions the flowing curve has symbolised life energy, rhythm and the quiet persistence of movement.
It does not rush.
It continues.

In the Making
The curve was first traced lightly across the surface.
The engraving was deepened slowly so the line would retain softness rather than sharpness.
When light moves across the stone the curve appears to shift, giving the sense of movement passing through stillness.
