The Stone
This stone was chosen to carry a mark of quiet remembrance.
The engraving follows a simple vertical line rising from the base of the stone and meeting a circular form above. The circle rests gently within the surface, while the line anchors it downward, creating a balance between ascent and grounding.
The stone itself remains calm and weighty in the hand, its deep blue surface holding small flecks of mineral light.
In the hand it feels reflective and inward, as though the stone invites a moment of listening rather than action.
The form is minimal.
The presence is deep.
The Ode
The mark of Menheta speaks of memory carried through silence.
Across time, lapis has been associated with depth, sky, and the quiet clarity of inner vision. The simple meeting of line and circle recalls the movement between earth and heaven, grounding and perception.

Status
In the Making
The engraving was established through a single continuous gesture.
The vertical line was first traced lightly into the surface before the circular form was opened above it, allowing the mark to settle naturally into the stone.
As light moves across the blue surface, the shallow engraving reveals subtle shifts between shadow and reflection.
The stone remains quiet, holding the mark as a small trace of the transmission it carries.
