The Mirror Released
A marker of freedom from reflection

The Stone
This stone carries a simple form resembling a standing mirror.
A circular surface rises from a grounded base, suggesting the familiar gesture of reflection. Yet the symbol appears calm and open, as though the mirror no longer demands attention.
The engraving remains light within the stone so that the form appears gradually through shadow and light.
In the hand the stone feels spacious and quiet, reflecting the moment when the need to look at oneself begins to soften.
The mirror stands.
The gaze is free.
The Marker
The Mirror Released represents the moment when identity loosens its hold.
Throughout the pilgrimage we often see ourselves through the mirrors of others, through roles, expectations, and reflections that shape how we believe we must appear.
There comes a moment when the mirror no longer needs to be consulted.
Awareness no longer seeks confirmation through reflection.
This marker invites the traveller to step beyond the mirror and simply remain present.

In the Making
The engraving was shaped by first establishing the circular surface of the mirror.
The base was then traced beneath it to create the balanced structure of the symbol.
As light moves across the stone the form becomes clearer while the surface remains calm.
The stone holds the mark quietly, reflecting the moment when reflection itself begins to fall away.
