In the Making
The central flame line was engraved first to establish the upward movement.
Additional curves were then added to give the form its sense of rising motion.
The engraving remains balanced and open so light can move along the lines, allowing the flame to appear almost alive on the surface of the stone.
The mark is simple.
Its meaning is movement.
