Pillar
A mark of quiet support

The Stone
This stone carries the outline of a simple pillar.
A vertical form rising between two steady lines, suggesting a structure that holds its place.
In the hand the symbol feels grounded and balanced, neither heavy nor rigid.
It stands.
It holds.
The Symbol
The pillar symbolises stability within movement.
Across many traditions pillars mark places of passage, holding the threshold between one space and another.
They carry weight without drawing attention to themselves.
The pillar does not move.
It allows movement around it.

In the Making
The outer frame of the form was engraved first, establishing the upright structure.
The inner opening was then carved carefully so the shape retained a sense of quiet depth.
When light touches the engraving the pillar appears both solid and open, reflecting the balance between support and space.
The form remains simple.
Its strength lies in that simplicity.
