River
A mark of steady flow

The Stone
This stone carries two lines that move side by side like a quiet current.
They travel across the surface with a gentle rhythm, neither rushing nor still.
Held in the hand the form feels balanced and directional, suggesting movement that knows where it is going.
The lines do not break.
They continue.
The Symbol
The river symbolises the path that forms through time.
It reflects the movement of water carving its way through land, not through force but through persistence.
Across cultures rivers have represented life, transition and the steady unfolding of a journey.
The river does not argue with the land.
It finds its way.

In the Making
Two parallel lines were first traced across the stone to establish the direction of flow.
The engravings were then deepened gradually so the surface retained its quiet softness while the movement became visible.
As light moves across the stone the lines appear to shift, like water passing over a riverbed.
The movement is subtle, but constant.
