Transition
A mark of directional change

The Stone
This stone carries the form of a single wing.
The lines curve upward, suggesting motion that is already underway.
Unlike a gate or threshold, this form speaks of the moment after movement has begun.
The wing is neither fully open nor fully folded.
Held in the hand the stone feels balanced between stillness and lift.
Something has shifted.
The path continues.
The Symbol
Across cultures the wing symbolises passage, ascent and transformation.
In this form the wing stands alone.
It represents the quiet stage of transition — the space between departure and arrival.
Not the beginning.
Not the end.
But the movement between them.

In the Making
The outer curve of the wing was carved first to establish its upward direction.
The inner lines were then deepened gradually to suggest layered movement within the form.
When light moves across the surface the wing appears to shift slightly, giving the stone a sense of motion even in stillness.
