Turning Wheel

A mark of quiet cycles

Engraved wheel symbol on a smooth stone representing cycles and rhythm from the Learning Stones of Aereth collection by House of Veyrion.

The Stone

This stone carries the form of a simple wheel.

Lines extend from a quiet centre, suggesting motion held within balance.

In the hand the symbol feels steady yet dynamic, as if the movement continues even when the stone rests.

The centre remains still.

The outer form turns.

The Symbol

The turning wheel symbolises the rhythm of cycles.

Across cultures the wheel has represented the passage of seasons, the unfolding of time and the repeating patterns of life.

Movement returns again and again to the centre.

What turns eventually comes back to its beginning.

The cycle continues.

In the Making

The central point was engraved first to establish the still centre.

From there the outer circle and radiating lines were carved carefully to create a sense of balanced motion.

The engraving remains shallow so light can move across the form, allowing the wheel to appear gently in motion depending on the angle.

The mark is simple.

Its meaning lies in the rhythm it reflects.
