The Veil Between
A mark of subtle threshold

The Stone
This stone carries a narrow opening carved along its centre.
The shape is neither a line nor a boundary, but a quiet space between two forms.
The surface of the stone remains whole, yet the centre suggests a passage.
Held in the hand the stone feels still, as if something rests just beyond what can be seen.
Not a division.
A meeting point.
The Symbol
Across traditions the veil has represented the subtle boundary between worlds, moments or states of awareness.
The form reflects the idea that what separates two things may also connect them.
A thin space where perception changes.
What lies on one side is known.
What lies beyond is sensed.
The veil does not close.
It simply waits.

In the Making
The central form was carved first to establish the narrow opening within the surface of the stone.
The edges were then softened so the shape would feel less like a cut and more like a quiet threshold.
When light moves across the engraving the centre appears to glow slightly, revealing the subtle depth of the passage.
