A mark of quiet mystery
The Stone
This stone carries a flowing form descending from a single point near the top of the surface.
Several lines unfold downward like soft folds of fabric or strands of light.
The shape suggests something partially revealed and partially hidden.
Held in the hand the stone feels calm and contemplative.
Not everything is meant to be fully seen.
Some things are sensed through presence.
The Symbol
Across traditions the veil has symbolised the subtle boundary between the known and the unseen.
It does not divide two worlds.
It softens the distance between them.
The flowing lines reflect layers of perception.
What is hidden is not absent.
It simply waits to be noticed.

In the Making
The upper point was carved first so the lines would naturally fall downward from a single origin.
Each curve was then engraved gradually to preserve the sense of softness within the form.
When light passes across the stone the lines create gentle shadows, giving the impression of a veil resting across the surface.
