The Movement Stones of Aereth

Winged Gate

A mark of passage

Wing Gate engraved stone symbol from the Movement Stones of Aereth collection

The Stone

This stone carries a curved arch and a single wing resting beneath it.

The line suggests a threshold — something that opens rather than closes.

The wing does not push or force movement.
It simply indicates the direction of passage.

Held in the hand the stone feels like a quiet invitation.

A gate without walls.
A motion without pressure.

The Symbol

Across many traditions wings represent transition, ascent and guidance.

The arch above the wing suggests a passage or opening.

Together they form a sign of movement through a threshold — the moment when something shifts from one state into another.

Not flight yet.
But the opening before it.

In the Making

The arch was traced first to establish the sense of passage.

The wing was then carved beneath it so the form would appear supported by the opening above.

When light moves across the surface the arch catches the edge of shadow, giving the impression of a doorway within the stone.
