Listening begins in stillness.

Before answers,
before interpretation.

A small flame appears
in the quiet of awareness.

A thought passing.

A feeling beneath the surface.

A quiet knowing
waiting to be recognised.

Listening begins
when we stop reaching.

 

 

Sit with a candle,
or imagine a small flame before you.

Allow your breathing to slow.

Listen inwardly,
as if waiting for a distant sound.

Often the most faithful guidance
arrives as a gentle warmth
rather than a loud voice.
